Bosham Holiday House Swap

What's This All About?

We are a family of 5 and have lived in the area between Chichester and Portsmouth for many years. Where we live, and the surrounding area is wonderful, with loads to see and do. Chichester Harbour is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, which stretches from Langstone in the West to Chichester in the East. As much as we love it, we are keen to see other places around the world, and for that reason we are very interested in holiday home exchange and are listed on the Home Xchange Vacation website. If you are interested in an holiday home exchange then please contact us on the email below.

Bosham is a small village on the south coast of the United Kingdom, between the cities of Chichester and Portsmouth, sitting 3miles and 13miles from their city centres, respectively. It is a beautiful village, which is why we moved here, and is steeped in history. There is little point in me replicating this history here, when you would be far better served visiting one of the websites below which give much better accounts of Bosham's history and the local area than I could.

Our Home

Our home is located in a small cul-de-sac of 20 or so houses built in the early 90's.  It has been our home since July 2007, after we moved to it from a village called Southbourne a few miles to the West.  Our house is a well kept, lived in, contemporary 4 bedroom home.

The Ground Floor:

Consists of an entry hallway, stairs to the upper floor, storage room, convenience room, modern Kitchen and a large living and dining room.

The Upper Floor:

The master bedroom has a double bed, an en-suite bathroom and shower.  The second bedroom has a single bed as do the third and fourth bedrooms.  There is also room for a fold away Z bed in either the second or third bedrooms (more photos will follow soon).

The Back Garden:

Our back garden faces West, and so benefits from the Sun's heat at the end of the day. A gas barbeque is available as are two adult and two children's bikes (for ages 5-7 and 3-5).

Where to eat and drink in Bosham:

Bosham has some great places to eat and drink, such as Memories of India, the local Indian restaurant about 200meters from our house. If it is pub food you like, then The Berkley Arms and The Anchor Bleu will provide you with all you need and a nice English pint to boot! However, Bosham remains a quiet English coastal village that is a pleasure to live in and to visit.  Emsworth, for example, has about a dozen pubs and many restaurants, but Emsworth and Chichester (where you'll find just about everything you could want) are a 5-10min car ride away.

Bosham has two traditional English pubs. The Anchor Bleu which is on the harbour shore and a great place to sink a few pints of English ale on a warm summer evening and the Berkley Arms, the more central of the pubs, and one which I have personally enjoyed quite a few evenings of drinking.
